Dudley Youth Awards 2019

This is DYA's 14th year, and what a time it has been.

During April 2019, our Music Themed Awards were held where Young People are Adults were celebrated at Dudley College's Broadway Campus.

The following awards were available for nomination starting from February 2019:

  • Creativity Award
  • Sport Award
  • Contribution to School or Further Education Award
  • Environmental and Conservation Award
  • Inspiration Award - Overcoming Adversity
  • Community, Charity and Voluntary Award
  • Leadership Award (new for this year)
  • Freedom Award (new for this year)
  • Inspiring Futures Award.


Dudley Youth Awards 2018

In March 2018, the Dudley Youth Council held it's 14th annual Dudley Youth Awards, in partnership with the Children in Care Council. The theme of the night was 'Vintage' and the event is centred around celebrating Young People who are making history in their fields. The Award Categories were:

  • Creative Arts Award
  • Sport Award
  • Contribution to School or Further Education Award
  • Inspiration Award - Overcoming Adversity
  • Inspiration Award - Inspiring Others
  • Environmental Award
  • Long Service Award
  • Community, Charity and Voluntary Award - Group
  • The Mary Growcott Award (celebrating an inspirational adult).


EqualiTeas 2018

Dudley Youth Council is proud to present an amazing event happening in Dudley: EqualiTeas!



Make Your Mark 2017

 Make Your Mark is held by the Youth Parliament (ukyouthparliament.org.uk) each year, and it allows Young People to vote for a cause that is important to them to be debated in the House of Commons. The topics voted on last year were as follows:

  • Curriculum For Life
  • Votes at 16
  • Protect LGBT+ People
  • Support Young Carers
  • Transport
  • First Aid Education
  • Mental Health
  • Make the Invisible Visible
  • Protect School Budgets
  • Work Experience Hubs for 11-18 Year Olds
