Dudley Youth Council is a group of local young people aged between 11 and 19 (and up to 25 for those with a disability) who represent young people's views and work towards improving things for
young people in the borough.
Every year at our AGM (Annual General Meeting), Youth Councillors vote for a Management Committee who oversee meetings and manage their respective areas.
This year, we have 6 Members of Management. The positions and the role description are:
- Chair - run meetings and promote the Youth Council to the outside world.
- Vice Chair - assist the chair and fill in for other members of Management in their absence.
- Secretary - write minutes and agendas for meetings and keep others up to date on the same.
- Treasurer - keep track of accounts and make informed decisions on finance.
- Officer for Media and Communications (Social Media) - manage all Youth Council Social Media pages and promote campaigns.
- Officer for Media and Communications (Website) - develop DYC's website services and promote campaigns.
