Recent News
- We have had 2 new members of Management: James as Secretary and Amman as Treasurer.
- Unfortunately, we have had 7 members leave us over the past few weeks. We wish them all good luck with their future aspirations!
- DYA Planning has begun with meetings scheduled specifically to plan the awards.
- We have had members attend the most recent BYC (British Youth Council) Convention.
- Emerson (one of the Young Police and Crime Commissioner) has been nominated for an award due to his amazing work. Congratulations Emerson!
Young Police and Crime Commissioner (YPCC) Campaign:
- "Sharpen Minds, Not Knives" aims to inform Young People of the implications of knife crime.
- The campaign is ran by Emerson, one of the YPCCs in our area, delivers assemblies and group discussions regarding the issue.
- Emerson was looking to find out ideas on how to improve the delivery of the presentations.
- This item was spectated by the LGA (Local Government Association) Peer Review team.

Local Government Association (LGA) Peer Challenge:
- Their "Peer Challenge" is providing strategies for the Council and are working with bodies who work with the Council to see how it can improve.
- We were able to give feedback on how we think we influence the Council.

- We are considering a new design for a Main Website.
- New technologies are being implemented for this year's Youth Awards.
